I’ve been doing quite well in restarting Guise in Guild Wars, Guise has :

  • got to Level 07
  • got all my Ranger kit – leather leggings, leather vest, leather boots, leather gloves and Ascalon Bow
  • not gained Primary Skills
  • not gained Secondary Skills
  • no pet
  • only done 002 quests

As expected, hunting is drying up a bit – only monsters of Level 3+ are worth the effort and really not worth that much. A Level 3 Monster gives me 32XP and it’s about 6600XP to next level, and of course, the common monsters are all less than Level 3. I’ve mostly been going after Bears and Ice Elementals. I’ll have to start the questing soon, I reckon I should make it to level 10, find someone for Across The Wall and Adventure With An Ally and blow that joint.

I decided to make a new character, just in case I’ve left Pre-Searing by the time anyone else I know starts. I really wanted a Necromancer primary with Monk secondary skills – the idea of having life and death literally at my fingertips appealed greatly to me. Of course, the male Necros all look like a thin hunchback so the only female Dugal is back, the very rare Kityan Dugal. She’s short, sassy, pigtailed and if only they had cat ears she’d be glomping everywhere. Of course, I’ve had to take a different tack with Kityan, as Necros are relient on spells early on – doing 19 damage with a spell as opposed to 2 with a truncheon – so I’ve had to complete quests to get them. So far, Kityan has :

  • got to Level 02
  • got no Necromancer kit beyond Starter
  • gained 02 Primary Skills – Vampiric Gaze and Deathly Swarm
  • not gained Secondary Skills
  • only done 004 quests

I’m also taking way too many images, having to clear out the pictures every few hours, I keep a few but because there’s a split second difference when it takes the screenshot you usually miss the little thing you wanted to catch.

Saw guild wars at Best Buy other week.

Yeah all I have to add but you seem pretty distant really in general.

Well, even before Guild Wars was released they had something like 400,000 people from 140 countries playing in their preview events, so not seeing it in shops would have been surprising.

I mean, it’s available in supermarkets, bookstores, video game shops, toy shops and online, often with reviews available on content, look, playability and all that – plus, with it’s no monthly fee t attracts a few extra people.
