No Crying Until The Ending…

8 November, 2008 (18:10) | Games, Personal | 2 comments

What makes people think I’ve been spending too much time playing Earthbound Zero?

“Money for hitting hippies and stray dogs with a baseball bat, thanks dad!”

Wii For Mii

29 June, 2008 (14:55) | Games | 11 comments

Because I love the concept so much, I’m going to steal an opening in the style of Dio’s Random Lunacy blog. Those who have known me a while will be familiar with most of the names and personalities of these ‘aspects’ of mine. Those who don’t, too bad.

Hope Springs Eternal…

3 June, 2008 (13:41) | Games | 9 comments

I don’t have a Wii, but I now have a pre-order for a copy Super Smash Bros. Brawl when it releases on the 27th.
The only downside, the 27th is not a Saturday, it’s a Friday.
I likely won’t be able to camp out overnight, my face pressed againt the window of GAME making clouds [...]

We’re Scared of Creepy Little Children

17 January, 2008 (14:46) | Books, Games, Halloween, Movies, Music, Television | 7 comments

One of my favourite tropes in horror and thriller productions - be it in a
film, television show or even video game - is the use of Creepy Little Children.
Granted, this has at times been overdone, especially where companies try to
reproduce the success of a story in either a shoddily made sequel or rival
product, however amongst [...]

Guild Wars

18 May, 2007 (22:14) | Games | No comments

I found out that GAME in the town centre were having a sale, and it included the Guild Wars expansions Factions and Nightfall. So, I went in and got both.
Now I just need time to play them. I still haven’t finished the Prophecies campaign, only up to Ring of Fire or so.

Dead Rising : Weston-Super-Mare MUD

19 August, 2006 (16:57) | Games | 2 comments

Why, yes. Yes, I have been enviously eyeing up Xbox 360 gamers and that little zombie killfest game called Dead Rising. Yes, I would like to spend time playing it, whoring over it. No, I would not like to spend the £300+ just to get the system and game.
Third Floor Car Park of The Sovereign [...]

Skype and Guild Wars

2 October, 2005 (10:25) | Games | No comments

So, yesterday, Tink got Guild Wars, a source ofmuch joy because of increased stalking ability it is a fun game and everyone can hang out there.
This, in some way, led to a Skype-fest at night. In my case, first with Scott, then Sarah joined and finally Tony (Iron). I actually got to test [...]

Guild Wars - Lacking Infus-iasm

24 September, 2005 (13:15) | Games | No comments

Last night started off ok, after finding a Rune of Superior Absorption which sold for 75,000 gold I managed to get both my Drakescale Armour for when I pass into Ring of Fire and my set of Fur-Lined Armour for the rest of Shiverpeaks, I also managed to help Savayla Opri (Savvy)get her ever-so-spiffy Elementalist [...]

Guild Wars - There Goes The Neighbourhood

23 July, 2005 (16:07) | Games | No comments

I took Guise through to Post-Searing in Guild Wars, joining a Warrior/Monk to go through the Academy missions where we brutalised the other team and barely broke a sweat, granted I let the W/M get all mobbed up while I took long shots at the enemies while hitting several at a time with my Deathly [...]

Guild Wars - Hitting The Wall Again

16 July, 2005 (23:53) | Games | 3 comments

Played some more as Guise this evening, and dammit if I didn’t miss the power of Kityan - not to mention miss watching a svelt posterior wiggle across my screen - Guise just is not that powerful. I reckon if I can get Vampiric Gaze in Post-Searing I will be happier. Guise has now :

got [...]

Guild Wars - Desperate Measures

8 July, 2005 (19:08) | Games | 1 comment

After talking with Tink about her maybe grabbing a copy of Guild Wars I resolved to remake the Guise character, learning from my mistakes and feeding off my weapon strategy. I now know that I only need to learn the Ranger Skill Primaries and hunt to a decent level, before I start questing, and make [...]

Oh. my. god.
Guild Wars is highly addictive, beautifully crafted and amazingly simplistic game.
I say highly addictive, because on two occasions now, I’ve lost hours playing it, just completely unaware of the passage of time or what is going on around me. [...]

Zombies Everywhere…

2 May, 2005 (14:05) | Games, Movies | No comments

I’ve never been any good at the Resident Evil games, but loved reading through the in-depth solutions guides in magazines to get the freak out, in fact I basically suck at most games and all I wanted in Resident Evil was to get far enough through to get the story. I’ve read one of the [...]

From Beneath You It Devours…

16 January, 2005 (19:59) | Books, Games, Movies, Television | 4 comments

A memorable and oft-quoted line in the last season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and given the two sides of inspiration for this a line that has the slightest potential for being a nifty innuendo.
I was looking at some comments on someone elses LiveJournal and spotted a load of neat icons (notably to some degree [...]
